About Yoga

Yoga is a system of development for improving a person’s body both mentally and physically. Yoga philosophy was developed by an Indian civilization some 5,000 years ago and even after so many years, it still holds similar values. What began as a tool to reach mental, physical, and spiritual enlightenment has evolved into a disciplined, yet relaxing, way to exercise.

This ideology allows anyone, irrespective of age and health, to practice Yoga. Through a series of breathing patterns, movements and poses, the different Yoga classes at Body Tech can increase endurance and flexibility. Beyond the physical advantages, many use Yoga as a stress reliever that will help them find serenity and peace in their life, even if it’s only an hour a week.

All of our Yoga classes are open to participants of every level of experience. Check our class schedule to see what works best with your schedule. Talk with one of the certified Yoga instructors about which class is best for you.

 

YOGA BASICS

 

Moving at a slow pace, providing plenty of time to set up traditional poses.  Focusing on proper body alignment and synchronized breath work.  Yoga Basics is a great class to start in....providing modifications for many poses using straps and blocks.  If you are more advanced, this is a great class to re-invent your poses.


HOT HOT HOT- DETOX YOGA


What is hot detox yoga?  It is a series of postures practiced in a warm and humid room heated to 95 - 100 Degrees F.  The heat allows your muscles to stretch deeper than they would otherwise, with less danger than they would otherwise, with less danger of injury and detoxifies and cleanses your body via sweat.  Class is 60 minutes long and involves a standing series, which focus on strength, balance, and endurance while stretching and improving flexibility.

Just one hot yoga class will leave you feeling relaxed, energized, and renewed.  Feel the pounds shed away and feel your truest self shine more brightly than ever before.

When:  Wednesdays 7:30 - 8:30 p.m. (babysitting extended)

Class Fee:  $5 members / $15 non-members

*All students must bring 2 large towels and water to class.
